10 Places To Add To Your Travel Bucket List

Updated: Sep 3, 2022

I'm sure everyone has a Pinterest board of all the places you want to go to someday in your life.

One of my favorite things to do is pick a destination and take notes on what I would do there and how much it would cost me to travel around and live out my travel blogger dreams.

Through all of my research, and all of my daydreamings, these are the top ten places that stand out in my head of things or places I want to see one day.

Some of them are very general areas or countries, while others are hyper-specific activities that seem like such a cool experience that I dream of being able to do someday.

Who knows, maybe you will find something on this list you have never heard about before that sounds interesting!

10. Seattle, Washington

This is one of those places, I have no clue why I want to go here, something about it just calls to me and has made me very interested in going here.

Maybe it's the coffee, maybe it's the rain, maybe it's the aesthetic that comes to mind when I think of it. Something about it just seems so fascinating to me and has sparked my interest to want to go and explore the city and surrounding National Parks one day!

9. Road Trip Across The USA

I feel like most young adults in the US have this dream, of getting in a car with my friends and taking a week to drive across the country and stop at all the major landmarks along the way.

Needless to say, this one would be kind of hard for me personally seeing how I can't drive yet, but one day I will get there, and once I do have a license this cross-country dream will be made a reality!

8. Arkansas

Probably an unexpected addition to the list, but over the last year or so, Arkansas has found its way into my top ten places I want to go to someday soon.

The scenery there is beautiful, and there are countless things to adventure into and explore.

Not to mention the fact that it is one of the few states in the southern US I have not been to yet, which gives it some major bonus points because one day I want to be able to scratch that little shape off on my map and say AWE YEAH, I HAVE BEEN TO EVERY SOUTHERN US STATE, because seriously who wouldn't want to be able to say that?

7. Island Hopping In The Philippines

White sandy beaches, clear beautiful water, who could ask for more?

The Philippines are the backpacking capital of the world, and I would love to be able to take a few weeks out of my day-to-day life eventually and explore the area and experience all that the country has to offer!

6. The Trans-Siberian Railway

Russia has a massive railroad connecting the eastern side to the western side of the country. That country is one of those places I really want to go someday, but with how massive it is the thought of knowing where to go seems overwhelming at times, but if i took a big trip on the Trans-Siberian than I could just get off every few days to explore before jumping back on to continue the cross country journey. Which wouldn't show me everything, but I feel like that would be a great starting point to see the different areas of the wide spread country of Russia!

5. Huangshan Mountains in China

I know a lot of people reading this have probably never heard of this.

But these mountains look BEAUTIFUL!

The mysterious mist weaving its way through the high peaks and deep valleys is something that I must see with my own eyes one day just to see if it lives up to the expectations I see online.

4. The Grand Canyon

This is another one of those spots that I feel is just a must-see.

I have family who has hiked through the grand canyon and they have said it was amazing and one day I hope to do the same!

(I don't know how many of you watched Avatar the Last Airbender growing up but I have been thinking about the Great Divide episode the whole time while writing this blurb)

3. The Country of Japan

Japan is another one where one day in my life, I want to go on a trip and spend around a month living there just to be able to see as much as possible.

This country has such a rich culture and history, and I would love to be able to see it one day!

2. South Korea

This is a place that if you know anything about me, it really isn't shocking at all that this made it on here.

The scenery, culture, food, shopping, music, there are so many things that draw me into wanting to visit this beautiful country.

I know quite a few people who have been here, and said they love it!

Another thing which I feel is a nice thing about this country is their public transportation seems to be very well done.

This can make getting around the cities, and the country a very nice experience with all of the different options to choose from!

1. Over Water Bungalow

Ok, I know I know, legit everyone on the internet says this, but honestly who can blame them?

I love places that are warm weather, I love water, I love sunshine, what more could I need while imagining my perfect place to go than an overwater bungalow?

The thought of staying in a place where the door opens up and I can just leap off the deck and into a beautiful ocean any time I want is truly a dream for me.

This list is some of the top places in the world I want to see one day.

Did you find anything new that seems interesting?

Earth has so many incredible things to still see and I hope that one day we will all be able to live our dreams and see more of it than ever expected!
